- The purpose for the engagement party is to celebrate the good news w/ family and friends, and a good time to introduce the future in-laws to one another.
- Traditionaly the brides family hosts the party however these days anyone can host the engagement party.
- The party can be held in a home, resturant, or any place that has special meaning to the couple.
- Your guest should be limited to family and friends who will be invited to the wedding, however does not have to be the full wedding guest list. An engagement party can be a more intimate affair.
- Gift are optional & should not be expected!!!!
- The engagement party should never over shadow the wedding.
